DIY Natural Home Remedies for Dry Itchy Scalp

Dry itchy scalp is a common condition that unfortunately many people have experienced. Using home remedies to get relief is cost effective and is just as effective as products on the market. Lemon is another natural home remedy for treating dry itchy scalp. This multipurpose fruit is famously known for its medicinal, culinary, and other household uses. The juice from the lemon has antiseptic properties, which revitalizes and heals the scalp. Use lemon juice for fast relief by slicing a lemon in half, then squeeze the juice into a plastic container. Use the fingertips to briskly massage the juice into the scalp. Allow it to penetrate the scalp for 30 minutes. Wash the hair with warm water, paying special attention to the scalp. Shampoo and condition the hair, and then style as usual. Repeat this as often as needed until the itchy scalp is eliminated.

Using Tea Tree Oil

Use tea tree oil to get rid of dry itchy scalp. Tea tree oil has germicidal, antibacterial, antiseptic, and fungicidal properties. To get fast relief, apply a few drops to the scalp and massage it in thoroughly. Repeat whenever it is necessary. This is another natural home remedy that can be purchased over the counter at a pharmacy or at health food stores.
