A law to protect consumers from nefarious home improvement
contractors is now in effect in New Jersey.
The new law signed by Gov. James E. McGreevey last week will
require home improvement contractors to register with the state and
maintain at least $ 500,000 of liability insurance.
“New Jersey homeowners deserve a greater measure of protection
when they make a large investment in their homes,” said Assemblymen
