The cost to build a house can vary depending on factors such as location, size of house, exterior and “perks”–for instance, luxury fixtures–or number of stories (two-story houses cost less, per square foot, than one-stories). On average, however, a home in Texas in 2010 will cost about $100 per square foot; it may go as low as $70 or as high as $130 without going to extremes.
