Remodeling: When it comes to remodeling, what’s the difference between a footprint plan and a blueprint plan? Let’s start with the footprint remodeling plan. It’s pretty simple. We’re just changing out surfaces: cabinets, flooring, countertops, plumbing fixtures, and things of that nature. So why do we do a footprint remodeling plan? What we find is that our homeowners are looking to stay in their homes a little bit less time.
They want to get a change of the look in their home, and get a greater return on their investment. That’s the reason that people choose a footprint plan. Now let’s talk about the blueprint remodeling plan.
The difference there is that folks are just not real happy with the configuration of their existing space, such as kitchens or bathrooms. So obviously, that goes back to having a blueprint, getting city permits pulled, and changing up the configuration to meet that individual’s lifestyle.
Now we understand that this generally costs a little bit more, but it’s what people are looking for because they’re planning on staying in their home a little bit longer.
